After reading chapter five in the book, my mind stuck with the idea that each persons individual experiences are essential in writing as essay. For example, a person who is in love with a certain author would look for more positive facts highlighting the author whereas a person opposed to the author would search for reasons to demote him. I also thought that individual experience is essential to a good essay topic because adding personal sentiment in to a piece makes it much more effective then one that might not have such an element. For this reason when picking out a research topic it is important to pick something on which you can connect with on several levels.
