In chapter 9 of the Bedford Book of Genres, they discuss the difference between remixing and revising. Although it may seem like there is not a difference between the two, they both require different steps to be taken in order to complete a project. Revising is a fairly simple step that we have been taking for many years. Revising requires editing a current paper without making any major changes to the format or genre of the project. Remixing on the other hand means taking the current information and remixing it into different genres. For example, for project number three I will be taking the research that I have on the international program and incorporate them into different genres. One remix I'm going to do is creating a T-Shirt in an attempt to create awareness about the programs and hopefully encourage students to find out more information about the different programs offered. Both remixing and revising are very time consuming processes. Revising will come with very specific outlines, whereas remixing allows for creativity in your creations. Remixing does not come without revising. After you initially remix, it is important to check your product over for potential revisions that could be made as it is critical to finding success in a project.
